Alison Smith

Alison Smith is the Family Support Manager at The Arc of Greater Boone County, where she works alongside WIC offices and community partners in Boone and Hendricks Counties to support families through workforce development, financial empowerment, and increased access to essential resources. She leads initiatives such as free community baby showers, financial empowerment programs, and is continually developing new programs to build on the strengths of the communities she serves. Alison is passionate about breaking down barriers for families and understands that many basic needs, like hygiene items, aren’t covered by other support programs. She values Indy Hygiene Hub’s mission to restore dignity and provide direct access to these resources. She thrives on collaboration, partnership, and connecting families with the tools they need to thrive.

Outside of work, Alison enjoys life on a small farm with her husband and two boys. She treasures time with her family, especially enjoying time making memories outdoors or on the trails with them. Alison coaches junior high cross-country, blending her love of mentorship, wellness, and community. A dedicated volunteer, she’s often found supporting local causes and lending a hand wherever it’s needed. Committed to personal growth, Alison continues to pursue opportunities that strengthen her leadership and deepen her impact in the community.
