Amanda Mobley
Amanda Mobley, serves as a member of the Executive Team for Indy Hygiene Hub, focusing on Strategic Planning. She has been serving in various capacities with IHH since 2018. With a background in Elementary Education from Indiana University, Amanda's passion for connecting communities and resources was fueled during her time teaching in the classroom.
After several smelly and vulnerable post-recess conversations, the lack of hygiene support for her students was made clear and she began providing a class basket of essential items for anyone to use when needed. She witnessed firsthand the positive impact that consistent access to personal hygiene items made on her students’ confidence, school performance and peer relationships. Needless to say, her favorite IHH event is the Back to School Backpack Drive!
During the pandemic, Amanda created a drive thru system that would allow safe delivery of hygiene items while maintaining relationships with our pantry families. While we continue to operate this drive-thru status to maximize the number of families we serve, her top focus is to show intentional care and interest to each person that we interact with. From personal experience, she is familiar with the mix of emotions and life circumstances that may have brought someone to the pantry. She sees serving at IHH as a privilege to help educate others about our Core Values of Community, Stewardship, Authenticity, Compassion and Respect.
Outside of her role at IHH, Amanda’s background includes several years of experience as an elementary school teacher, Site Director for the Fishers YMCA camps and most recently Life Coaching through Lark’s Song in Marion, IN. You can find her dancing and singing karaoke with her husband Jon and 3 enthusiastic kids. Her family also enjoys serving at Mercy Road Church in Carmel.
